NME Music Magazine.
Language - The camera angles on this magazine is a medium close shot. They have the peoples body in but not their full body. I think they used this shot to get their full posture in to give show that their a indie/rock band by the way their dressed and the magazine is that kind of genre. They would have used The Wombats as the picture on the front to attract their audience who like bands such as these.
Institution - The producer of this magazine is NME. They are a music company who produce magazines. They try to attract their audience by using bold pictures and text. Mainly putting a interview or story of a well known band on. Music is a big influence and attraction to teenagers and young adults. It has alot of information music based and would attract people with a big interest in music. Also i think it's a big influence by budget as this magazine is quite affordable and you get a wide quantity of information.
Ideology - Looking at the headlines on the cover, there are mainly about bands mis-haps or interviews and information about festivals. These would appeal to the readers especially the festivals as anybody loves a chance to go see their favourite band, and this is a way to find out how to see them, when and where. Also they include posters in the magazine which also the audience would be interested in getting. Mainly teenagers like to collect posters of their favourite band to stick on their bedroom wall.
Audience - The target audience for this magazine are mainly teenaers and young adults between the ages of 13- 25. These are the ages that are most interested in music and different genres. The front cover would appeal to the stereotyped "Indie/rock" people who enjoy band such asThe Wombats who are an indie rock band. The gender for the magazine ranges both male and female as everyone likes music so it depends what music genre you are into. The lifestyle of the people who read this are mainly people who are in education and will have the time to read and listen to music more than adults who have a daily job and work most of the time.
Representations - I think this magazine represents males more than females as there are no stories on the front cover that talk about women. They are all mainly male bands and this may appeal more to boys but will still appeal to females who like these bands. The front cover represents socials groups of stereotypes as different stereotypical groups like different styles of music and the bands on this magazine are a range of different genres. For example Muse are more of a progressive rock and Kings Of Leon are more indie rock.
